Volume Controller sits on top of the page as a transparent master control, so it boosts or lowers audio without fighting the site's own volume slider. Video sites, music players, meetings, streams: the page keeps working exactly as before, just at the level you want. It does not request access to your browsing history GOOD TO KNOW Browsers require a single click somewhere on a page before audio can be boosted above 100%. That is a browser rule, not a bug. A few internal browser pages and some cross-origin streams cannot be boosted, but lowering and muting still work everywhere. DRM video (the big subscription services) cannot be processed by any extension. Where a page's audio genuinely cannot be reached, the popup says so plainly instead of leaving you guessing.
