Overview

Amplify browser tab audio safely up to 600%. No adware, no tracking, 100% local. Works on YouTube, Spotify, Netflix and any website.

Make quiet browser audio easier to hear — increase the sound of any Chrome tab up to 600%. Volume Booster gives you simple, real-time control over tab audio directly from your browser. It is useful when a video is too quiet, your laptop speakers are not loud enough, dialogue is difficult to hear, or someone on a video call has a low microphone level. Just open the extension, move the slider, and hear the change instantly. No page reload and no complicated settings. 🚀 HOW TO USE 1. Click the Volume Booster icon in your Chrome toolbar. 2. Move the slider to your preferred audio level. 3. The change is applied instantly to the current tab. 4. Continue watching, listening, or using the website normally. 5. Click “Reset to Normal” whenever you want to return to 100%. 🔊 INCREASE QUIET AUDIO UP TO 600% Sometimes the maximum level available on a website or your computer is simply not enough. With Volume Booster, you can amplify the audio coming from an individual Chrome tab beyond its normal level. This can help with quiet recordings, difficult-to-hear dialogue, weak laptop speakers, online meetings, podcasts, music, and other browser content. Adjust the level gradually until the sound is comfortable for you. ⚡ KEY FEATURES • Increase tab audio up to 600% • Real-time slider with instant adjustment • Independent settings for different tabs • Settings remain active when switching between tabs • One-click reset to the normal audio level • Fullscreen support while amplification is active • No page reload required • No account required • Local audio processing 🎬 VIDEOS, MUSIC, STREAMING AND MORE The extension can be used on websites that play audio through a Chrome tab. This includes popular services such as YouTube, Netflix, Spotify and Twitch, as well as video websites, music players, online meetings, podcasts, learning platforms and many other web applications. There is nothing special to configure for individual websites. Start playing the content, open the extension, and adjust the slider. 🖥️ FULLSCREEN SUPPORT Some Chrome audio extensions can interfere with fullscreen playback because of the way captured tab audio is handled by the browser. Volume Booster is designed to keep fullscreen available while amplification is active, allowing you to continue watching videos normally. This is especially useful when watching movies, streams, presentations, courses or other long-form video content. 🎚️ CONTROL EACH TAB INDEPENDENTLY Different tabs do not need to use the same setting. For example, you can make a quiet video significantly louder while leaving music in another tab close to its original level. The extension remembers the active setting for each tab, so you do not have to readjust everything whenever you switch between pages. 💻 USEFUL FOR QUIET LAPTOP SPEAKERS Built-in laptop speakers can sometimes struggle with quiet source material, particularly in rooms with background noise. Instead of changing your entire system setup, you can adjust the audio only for the Chrome tab that needs it. This makes the extension useful when: • a video was recorded at a low level • movie dialogue is difficult to understand • a podcast or interview is too quiet • someone in an online meeting is hard to hear • music from a browser player needs additional amplification • you are using laptop speakers in a noisy environment • the website and system controls are already at maximum 🔒 PRIVATE BY DESIGN Audio processing happens locally on your device using Chrome's tabCapture and Web Audio APIs. Your audio is not uploaded to an external server for processing. The extension does not: • collect your browsing history • upload your audio • use analytics • send your listening activity to external servers • require you to create an account Everything needed for audio amplification runs locally in your browser. 🔐 WHY THESE PERMISSIONS ARE NEEDED Volume Booster only requests permissions required for its functionality: • activeTab — identifies the tab you choose to control • tabCapture — accesses audio from the selected tab so it can be processed • storage — remembers your settings • windows — helps maintain fullscreen functionality while amplification is active These permissions are used to provide the features of the extension rather than to collect browsing data. ❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Can it make a quiet Chrome tab louder than normal? Yes. The extension allows you to increase tab audio up to 600%. Do I need to reload the webpage? No. Changes are applied in real time while the page remains open. For the best result, increase the slider gradually rather than immediately selecting the maximum setting. Listening to excessively loud sound for extended periods can also damage your hearing. Use higher levels responsibly. 🛠️ TECHNICAL INFORMATION Volume Booster uses Chrome's tabCapture API together with the Web Audio API to process tab audio in real time. Processing takes place locally on your device. Compatible with Chrome 109 and newer.
