A sleek, dark Manifest V3 extension that boosts media volume on the current tab.

Volume Booster is a browser extension that lets users increase the volume of audio and video media on web pages. The extension does not collect, transmit, or share personal data with any remote server or third party. The only data it uses is limited to browser-local preferences that the user selects in the extension popup: the chosen boost level and whether the setting applies to the current site only or all sites. These values are stored locally in the browser using the extension’s storage API and are not sent anywhere outside the user’s device. To function, the extension requests the following permissions: activeTab: to interact with the currently active tab when the user opens the popup. scripting: to inject the script that adjusts media volume on the page. tabs: to query tabs and send messages to the relevant tab so the volume change can be applied. storage: to save the user’s preferred boost level and site-scope setting locally. host permissions (<all_urls>): so the extension can run its content script on web pages where media elements are present. In runtime, the extension accesses audio/video elements on the current page and adjusts their volume using the browser’s Web Audio API. It does not read or collect browsing history, URLs, page content, form data, passwords, payment details, contacts, or other personal information. The extension only processes media elements on the page in order to perform the requested volume boost
