Overview
Vokto is a free browser extension that adds a keyboard command palette to any website. Search tabs, history and bookmarks.
Switch tabs and open links on the page without reaching for the mouse. Vokto is a free browser extension that adds a keyboard command palette to any website. Press Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+K, type what you need, then press Enter. If you use Spotlight on a Mac, the habit is familiar. WHAT YOU CAN DO Search open tabs, history and bookmarks in one list. What you use most rises to the top, and Vokto remembers which result you picked for a query. Find links and buttons on the page by name, or open them with letter labels using Link Hints. Manage tabs from the keyboard: pin, mute, rename or group them, snooze one until 9am tomorrow, or reopen the one you just closed. Opening a page that’s already open takes you to its tab. Search a site directly with keywords like yt:cats or gh:react. When nothing matches, Vokto passes your words to your default search engine. Get answers as you type: math, unit and time-zone conversions (“5pm PT in CET”), date math (“days until Mar 31”), color codes in other formats, and translations (“hello in german”) with Chrome’s on-device translator where available. Copy and export page content: the article as Markdown, tables as CSV or JSON, images and files, QR codes and full-page screenshots. Change how a site looks: dark page, high contrast, larger text and reader view, plus the Lexend reading font with wider spacing and color filters for color-vision deficiency. Vokto remembers the display modes you turn on for each site. Gmail, GitHub, Notion and Linear get their own commands. PRIVACY No account required. Vokto has no servers of its own and sends no telemetry. What it saves stays in your browser’s storage: settings, result rankings, per-site display modes, snoozed tabs, saved tab sessions, and clipboard history if you turn it on. Only your settings sync, through Chrome Sync if you use it. Opening a website or running a search sends a request to that service, only when you choose to. FAQ Is it free? Yes, and there’s no account to create. Does it work everywhere? On regular webpages. Chrome blocks extensions on its own pages and the Chrome Web Store; there the shortcut opens Vokto’s settings instead. Which browsers? Chrome. It also runs on Edge, Brave and Opera; on-device translation depends on the browser. vokto.app
