VoiceScribe — Call Transcription
Overview
Transcribe Google Meet, Zoom and Teams calls with the VoiceScribe desktop app. Captures only the call tab; audio stays on your PC.
This extension connects your browser calls to the VoiceScribe desktop app for Windows and turns them into a text transcript of the conversation. How it works - Join a call in Google Meet, Zoom (web client) or Microsoft Teams (web). - Click the VoiceScribe icon on the call tab and press "Start transcription" — or just press Alt+Shift+V. - VoiceScribe records the other participants from that tab only and your voice from your microphone, then saves the conversation to its history as a two-sided dialog. Why it's different - Only the call tab is captured — music, videos and other tabs never get into the transcript. - Your microphone is matched to the one the call itself is using, so the app doesn't record the wrong mic. - Speech recognition runs offline inside the VoiceScribe app. Audio is sent only to the app on your own computer (127.0.0.1) and never to our servers. - Recording stops automatically when you close the call tab or leave the call page. Requirements - VoiceScribe for Windows must be installed and running: https://voicescribeapp.com - Without the app the extension can still capture the call audio and save it as a WAV file to your Downloads folder.
