Voice to Text for ChatGPT & DeepSeek Turn your voice into text on ChatGPT and DeepSeek. This extension adds a floating microphone panel to the ChatGPT and DeepSeek interface, letting you dictate messages hands-free. No extra apps or cloud services required — everything runs locally in your browser. All processing happens inside the browser using the built-in Web Speech API. **What’s New** **Version 2.9** - Fixed auto-send on ChatGPT and DeepSeek: the silence timer now performs a real send (pointer events + Enter fallback) instead of just clearing the input, and the picker can no longer hit the extension's own floating buttons instead of the site's send button. - Interface language, mic position memory, edge-snapping and review prompts land together in this release. **Version 2.8** - One active microphone across tabs: starting dictation on ChatGPT or DeepSeek mutes the other — no more overlapping sessions. - The silence countdown now only runs when there is text to send — an empty input never triggers an auto-send. - Dictation into an empty field now starts with a capital letter. - After your first dictation a one-time prompt may suggest leaving a Chrome Web Store review — a great place to request the next feature. - Interface language selector — the settings panel can now be switched to any of the 9 UI languages regardless of the browser language. **Version 2.7** - New: dictation now works on DeepSeek (chat.deepseek.com) — microphone, auto-send, Push-to-Talk and voice punctuation are supported there too. - Settings are now site-aware — options that only apply to ChatGPT (like content width) are hidden on DeepSeek. - The popup notice now names both supported sites. - Site badges in the settings header show which site's options you are editing — the inactive badge suggests switching to that site's tab. - New option: warning beeps on the last seconds of the silence countdown — pick a 3s or 5s warning. **Version 2.6** - Fixed dictation on the redesigned ChatGPT interface — the extension now supports both the old and the new message composer. - Microphone now retries automatically on network errors instead of silently stopping. - The mic now turns off on the first click, even while a retry is pending. - Content width control reworked for the new ChatGPT layout — applies instantly to new and streamed messages without flicker. - New Reset button next to the content width slider restores the default 100%. - Theme switching works again — ChatGPT's own page theme could lock the settings window in dark mode. - Checkboxes are now clearly visible in dark mode (native ones were invisible on the new ChatGPT design). - Settings made more compact: long hints are tucked behind ⓘ tooltips. - Extension popup shows a clear notice when the active tab is not ChatGPT instead of failing silently. - Note: OpenAI changed ChatGPT's interface under the hood. If a future redesign breaks dictation again, we will ship a fix as soon as possible.
