Voice Realm Back Room
Overview
Shift clock and task alerts for The Voice Realm staff. Counts keys and clicks while you are clocked in, never what you type.
The Back Room extension is the shift clock for people who work for The Voice Realm. It does nothing for anyone else: unless you are signed in to our staff portal in the same browser, it sits idle. While you are clocked in it counts how many keys you press and how many times you click, minute by minute, in whichever tab you are working in. It never records which keys or what you typed. It notes the site in front, as a domain name, so your shift record shows where the work happened. When the employer has it switched on, it also sends a small screenshot of the front tab every few minutes. It also rings you: a desktop notification with a chime when a task is put on your list, before a deadline, and when a start-of-shift clock runs out, each with an Acknowledge button. Press Start from the toolbar icon or from the top of the Back Room; press Stop when you finish. Fifteen quiet minutes stop the clock by itself. One 30-minute meal break a shift keeps the clock running without the quiet cut-off. Everything goes only to thevoicerealm.com and is kept as part of the staff shift log.
