Speak instead of typing. Voice Dictation turns your speech into text right where your cursor is, in almost any text box on the web: emails, chat boxes, documents and forms. HOW TO USE • Click into a text field, press Alt+Shift+D (or click the toolbar icon) and start talking. • A small bubble shows a live preview while you speak. • Press Alt+Shift+D again to stop – the text is inserted at the cursor. • Say "comma", "period", "question mark" or "new line" for punctuation. FEATURES • Supports more than 15 languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, German and French. • Optional clean-up mode capitalises sentences, fixes spacing and punctuation, and removes filler words like "um" and "uh". • Clean-up runs on your device: it uses Chrome's built-in AI when available and a fast rule-based engine otherwise.
