Voice Dictation Browser Extension
Overview
Dictate text into supported web fields using your microphone and a secure speech-to-text backend.
Dictate into supported text fields on HTTPS websites without leaving the page. Focus a text field, click the visible Mic button, speak a short phrase, and stop recording. Voice Dictation sends the recording to its secure speech-to-text backend and inserts the returned transcript where you were typing. Privacy and control: - Recording starts only after you click Mic. - You can stop recording immediately. - Password, payment, hidden, disabled, readonly, file, checkbox, and radio fields are ignored. - Raw audio and transcripts are not intentionally stored by the extension or backend application. - The xAI API key remains on the backend and is never included in the extension. Audio is sent over HTTPS to the Voice Dictation FastAPI backend and processed by xAI Speech-to-Text. No account is required. The extension contains no advertising, payments, background recording, or real-time streaming.
