Overview

Found a new word while reading? Save it in one click with its meaning and sentence, then recall it later with flashcards.

Found a word you don't know? Highlight it and keep reading. VocabPal turns everything you read online into your own vocabulary list. Select a word on any webpage or PDF, click "Add to VocabPal", and it's saved with its definition, pronunciation, part of speech, and the exact sentence where you found it. Later, study your words with flashcards so they actually stick. WHY VOCABPAL Most vocabulary apps give you someone else's word list. VocabPal builds yours from the articles, blogs and documents you already read. Every word comes with the context you met it in, which is the best way to remember what it means and how it's used. SAVE WORDS WITHOUT BREAKING YOUR FLOW • Highlight any word and click the floating "Add to VocabPal" button • Or right-click → Add to VocabPal (works in PDFs too) • Definition, pronunciation and part of speech are added automatically • The sentence you found it in and a link back to the article are saved with it • Save the same word from another article and VocabPal keeps both contexts STAY ORGANISED AUTOMATICALLY • Browse your words by date (Today, Yesterday, then year, month and day) or by the article they came from • Create your own categories, like "Work", "GRE" or "Novel I'm reading" • Jump back to the original article with one click LEARN WITH FLASHCARDS • Flip cards to test yourself: word on the front, meaning and your saved sentence on the back • Hear each word read aloud • Study exactly what you want: pick any mix of categories, articles or dates, like "everything from March" or "words from this one article" YOUR WORDS, EVERYWHERE Sign in with Google and your words sync to your account, so they're waiting for you in the VocabPal web app as well as the extension. GREAT FOR • English learners reading real-world content • Students preparing for exams • Anyone who reads a lot and wants to grow their vocabulary Install VocabPal, highlight your first word, and start building a vocabulary that's truly yours.
