Your browser crashed, an update restarted it, or you closed the wrong window, and the tabs didn't come back. Sessionry has them. Sessionry saves your open windows and tabs a couple of seconds after every change, as a version you can go back to. When the browser starts without your last session, the toolbar icon shows "!" and one click brings every window back, with pinned tabs and tab groups.
