Backup your VK content with one click.

Your VK account holds years of photos, videos and documents — VK Backup puts the whole thing in a folder on your own computer, in a few clicks. Open the popup on VK, pick a category (or "Everything"), confirm the file count and estimated size, and watch it download. No account, no server, no subscription: the extension uses your own already-logged-in VK session to talk to VK's official API, and every file goes straight from VK to your Downloads folder. 🖼️ PHOTOS — EVERY ALBUM, ORIGINAL QUALITY • Profile photos, wall photos, saved photos, tagged photos and any album you created • Select one album, several, or all of them — per-album photo counts are shown up front • Original quality, exactly as VK stores it • Or download a single photo on its own 🎬 VIDEOS • Your uploaded videos, your saved/added videos and your favourites • Batch or one at a time, queued so your connection isn't flooded • Saves the highest progressive MP4 VK exposes • Streaming-only (HLS) or externally hosted videos are reported as skipped with the reason — never silently counted as done 📄 DOCUMENTS • Every document you uploaded to VK: PDF, ZIP, DOC/DOCX, images, anything else • Original file names, original files 👥 FRIENDS & 🏘️ GROUPS — PROPER EXPORTS • Friends list with name, profile URL and user ID • Every community you've joined • Export either as CSV, JSON, or ZIP (the ZIP bundles CSV + JSON together) 🪪 PROFILE EXPORT • Name, username, bio, birthday, city, education, website, the contacts visible to you, your profile link and your original-quality profile photo • Saved as JSON or as a plain-text TXT summary ✅ SCAN → CONFIRM → PROGRESS → SUMMARY • A scan runs first and tells you the total number of files, the estimated size and the exact destination folder • Nothing downloads until you press Start backup • Live progress while it runs, with Downloaded / Failed / Skipped counted separately • A final summary with those three numbers and the elapsed time 🔁 DOWNLOAD MANAGER YOU CAN ACTUALLY USE • Failed items are listed individually, each with its own reason (network error, file no longer available, private content…) • "Retry failed (N)" re-runs only the items that broke — not the whole backup • Cancel the whole run at any moment 🕘 BACKUP HISTORY • Every run is kept locally: date, type, file count, size, duration and status • Each category view also shows when you last backed it up ⚙️ SETTINGS THAT MATTER • Download subfolder name • Concurrent downloads, 1–6 • Retry attempts, 0–5 • File naming template with {index} {id} {title} {date} {type} tokens • Auto-create folders and timestamped runs, on or off • Desktop notifications when a backup finishes • Light, Dark or System theme 📁 TIDY FILES, ONE FOLDER PER RUN Every backup writes its own timestamped folder, so runs never overwrite each other: VK Backup/2026-07-24_15-30-18/ Photos/Albums/Крым 2025/ Videos/ Documents/ Friends/ Groups/ Profile/ 🛡️ BUILT FOR BIG, MESSY ACCOUNTS • Bounded concurrency: designed for thousands of files • Survives network errors, VK rate limiting and captchas — one category having a bad time never fails the whole run • Deleted or private content is skipped and reported, not retried forever • An interrupted run is still recorded in your history 🔒 PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything happens on your device. There is no server, no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. The extension collects no data at all: your VK content is read with your own session and written to your own Downloads folder, and nothing is ever uploaded anywhere.
