Vite DevTools
Overview
DevTools browser extension for Vite
Bring your project's Vite DevTools into Chrome DevTools. Vite DevTools detects compatible projects and adds a Vite tab to Chrome's developer tools. The panel connects to the DevTools interface served by your project. Features: - Automatically detect pages with Vite DevTools enabled. - Check the current page from the extension popup. - See when a Vite app needs DevTools to be enabled. - Open your project's tools in the Vite tab. - Reconnect when the inspected page navigates. Getting started: 1. Start a compatible Vite project with Vite DevTools enabled. 2. Open the project in Chrome and check the extension icon. 3. Open Chrome DevTools and select the Vite tab, using the overflow menu if needed. A running project with Vite DevTools enabled is required. Available tools depend on the integrations configured in your project. Installing this extension alone does not enable DevTools in a project. The extension checks page-level Vite markers and connection information. Site access supports automatic detection on localhost, different ports, LAN hosts, and custom development domains.
