Visual Review is a local-first browser extension for recording UI feedback directly on live webpages. Reviewers can select page elements, grouped elements, screen areas, arrows, or text notes; add comments; capture clean and annotated evidence; and export portable ZIP, JSON, or PDF reports for handoff. Key features: - Select elements and areas on normal HTTP and HTTPS pages - Add comments with category, severity, priority, status, and notes - Capture clean and annotated screenshots of the visible viewport - Export complete ZIP packages with review data, metadata, and screenshots - Import review packages into another browser profile - Reopen comments on matching pages and supported mapped preview deployments - Store all review data locally in browser extension storage - Use the native Chrome side panel for review navigation Visual Review does not use a server, account system, cloud sync, telemetry, or third-party runtime libraries. Review data and screenshots remain on the user’s device unless the user explicitly exports or downloads them. Supported scope: - Chrome 120+ - Top-level HTTP and HTTPS pages, including localhost - Visible viewport captures - Element, grouped element, area, arrow, and screen-text annotations - Local ZIP, JSON, and PDF report export Limitations: - Browser-internal pages and Chrome Web Store pages are not supported for annotation - iframe internals, closed shadow roots, and individual canvas or video contents are not directly selectable - Full-page screenshot stitching, real-time collaboration, authenticated roles, and automatic merge are not included
