Vistab — Themed New Tab

Every new tab shows a random high-quality background photo matching your chosen theme, with minimal repeats.

Fully client-side — no backend, no accounts, no tracking. Vistab replaces your new tab page with a beautiful, themed background image. Install it and it just works: pick one of 10 curated themes and you're done — no sign-up, no API key, nothing to configure. Simple mode (default) • Pick a theme — Street Photography, Landscape, Architecture, Minimalism, Black & White, Nature, Aerial, Night City, Ocean, or Mountains. • Every new tab shows a fresh, high-quality photo from that theme. • Nothing to set up. No account, no key, no signup — just pick and go. Advanced mode (optional, for power users) • Bring your own free Unsplash Access Key and describe any topic you want in plain English — "rainy tokyo alleyway at night," "misty pine forest," or anything else you can imagine. • If Unsplash is ever unreachable or your quota runs out, Vistab quietly falls back to the built-in theme photos — your new tab never breaks. Both modes share: • A local cache pool prefetches images, so tabs open instantly — no waiting. • Recently shown photos are remembered and avoided, so you rarely see repeats. • Optionally overlay a classic photography quote. • Choose how the image fits your screen (fill / fit width / fit height). • Right-click any background to save it to your computer. Every photo is properly credited to its photographer, linked back to Unsplash. Vistab has no servers, makes no accounts, and collects no data — your settings live only in your own browser. —— 中文 —— 纯客户端运行——无后端、无需账号、不追踪。 Vistab 把你的新标签页替换为一张符合主题的高质量背景大图。装上即可用： 从 10 个精选主题中选一个就完成了，不需要注册、不需要申请 API Key、 不需要任何额外配置。 简单模式（默认） • 选一个主题——街头摄影、风光、建筑、极简、黑白、自然、航拍、夜景城市、 海洋、山脉。 • 每次打开新标签页都会展示一张来自该主题的高质量照片。 • 无需任何设置。不用账号、不用 Key、不用注册——选好主题就能用。 进阶模式（可选，面向进阶用户） • 自备免费的 Unsplash Access Key，用自然语言描述任意你想要的画面—— “东京雨夜小巷”“雾中松林”，或任何你能想到的场景。 • 如果 Unsplash 一时无法访问或配额用完，Vistab 会自动、安静地切换回内置 的主题图片——新标签页永远不会因此空白。 两种模式都具备： • 本地缓存池提前预取图片，打开即显示，无需等待。 • 记录最近看过的照片并自动避开，尽量不重复。 • 可选在图上叠加一句经典摄影语录。 • 可选择图片的显示方式（填满 / 适应宽度 / 适应高度）。 • 右键背景图即可保存到本地。 每张照片都会正确署名摄影师，并链接回 Unsplash。Vistab 没有服务器、不需要 注册账号、也不收集任何数据——你的设置只保存在你自己的浏览器里。
