One shortcut screenshots the visible tab. Copy it to the clipboard to paste into chat, docs or AI tools, or save it as PNG.

Press Ctrl+Shift+8 (Cmd+Shift+8 on Mac) and the visible part of the tab is on your clipboard as a PNG, ready to paste into Slack, Gmail, Google Docs, Jira, or an AI chat. Press Ctrl+Shift+9 (Cmd+Shift+9) to save it as a PNG file instead. No editor window to close, no upload, no account. What it does - Captures exactly what you see in the current tab - the page itself, without the address bar or tabs - Copy: paste the image straight into chat, email, docs, issue trackers, or AI tools - Save: a timestamped PNG lands in your download folder - A small on-page message confirms that it worked. Your image goes to your clipboard or your disk and nowhere else.
