# Viradotech AI Data Guard **Protect confidential data before it reaches external AI tools.** Viradotech AI Data Guard helps organisations reduce accidental exposure of sensitive information when employees use AI. It checks prompts in the browser before submission and applies your organisation's security policy. ## HOW IT WORKS The extension detects potentially sensitive information, evaluates it against your policy, and anonymises, warns about, or blocks the submission. It can identify personal and contact information, identifiers, credentials, financial data, specific addresses, and pasted source code. ## FILE PROTECTION Supported document and image attachments are inspected locally in your browser. File contents and names are never uploaded to Viradotech. Unreadable files are handled according to your policy. ## POLICY & GOVERNANCE Choose from built-in policies for professional services and stricter confidentiality requirements. When multiple risks are detected, the highest-priority action applies. Audit records capture risk categories, counts, decisions, and outcomes without storing prompt text or detected values. Records remain in the browser unless reporting is enabled or required by your organisation's administrator. ## SUPPORTED SERVICES The extension supports selected browser-based AI services. Some integrations remain in preview, and coverage does not extend to desktop applications, mobile apps, or direct API access. ## PRIVACY Prompt and attachment inspection takes place inside your browser. Original sensitive values are never sent to ViradoTech. When reporting is enabled, only governance metadata is transmitted. Protection applies only to supported services in Google Chrome and depends on the extension correctly identifying the prompt field.
