Overview
Add LP vinyl crackle to any website's audio ā or play it ambient.
šµ Turn any website into a vinyl listening experience. Vinyl Crackle adds authentic LP surface noise to the audio playing on any website ā YouTube, Spotify Web, SoundCloud, and more. When you press play, it sounds like you're listening on a turntable. Or switch to Ambient mode and let the crackle play on its own ā no media required. Perfect for background atmosphere while working, reading, or relaxing. āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā HOW IT WORKS Three procedurally generated noise layers, just like a real record: ā¢ Surface Noise ā The continuous "hiss" from the stylus tracking the groove ā¢ Clicks & Pops ā Random "tick" and "pop" from dust and scratches ā¢ Dust Particles ā Brief "crackle" from particles hitting the needle No audio samples. No downloads. Pure math generating real-time analog warmth. āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā THREE MODES ā¦ Off: Crackle disabled. ā¦ Overlay: Crackle plays on top of media audio. Activates only when audio/video is playing. ā¦ Ambient: Crackle plays on its own ā no media required. Great for lo-fi background atmosphere. āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā FEATURES ā¦ 4 Presets ā Light Dust: Almost-new LP, subtle texture ā Warm Vinyl: Well-kept vintage record ā Worn Record: A well-loved LP with character ā Antique: Decades-old record, heavy crackle ā¦ Fine Controls ā Surface, Pops, Dust: Adjust each noise layer independently ā Master Intensity: Control overall crackle volume ā¦ Works Everywhere ā YouTube, Spotify Web, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, and any site with audio/video ā¦ Lightweight ā No background processes when disabled ā Settings sync across devices via Chrome āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā PRIVACY Vinyl Crackle does NOT collect, store, or transmit any user data. It does not access your audio content. The crackle is generated locally as a separate audio overlay. Your settings are stored only in Chrome's built-in sync storage. āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā Open source: https://github.com/ShinChanU/vinyl-crackle
