FULL DESCRIPTION: Vinted doesn't publish sold-price history, so knowing whether a listing is fairly priced means manually searching for similar items and comparing by eye. Vinted Similar Prices does that for you, automatically, on every item page you visit. WHAT IT DOES When you open a Vinted listing, the extension searches Vinted for similar items using the key words from the title, filters results to match the item's condition, and shows the median price, the full range, and how many listings were found, all without leaving the page. A Good Deal badge tells you at a glance whether the item is priced below, at, or above the typical market rate. HOW MANY LISTINGS DOES IT USE? The extension looks at up to 96 listings per search, which is the most Vinted will return in one go. Pulling more than that would mean making several searches in a row for every page you visit, which would be unnecessarily heavy on Vinted's end and more likely to get the extension rate-limited or blocked. One search, best available picture. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS These are current listing prices, not historical sold data (which Vinted doesn't make available). Think of it as a quick read on what similar items are going for right now. Prices shown are item price only and don't include postage or buyer protection. HOW IT HANDLES RESULTS Results go through several filtering steps before any numbers are shown. First, they are filtered to match the condition of the item being viewed so a "New with tags" item is only compared against other "New with tags" listings. Then a similarity check removes results that share no meaningful keyword overlap with the search term, catching cases where Vinted's API returns loosely related items. Finally, the top and bottom 5% of prices are trimmed before calculating the median and range, to reduce the impact of outliers like damaged items or rare editions on the typical price shown. THE PRICE DISTRIBUTION CHART A small bar chart below the numbers shows how prices are distributed across the results. The yellow line marks where the item being viewed sits in that distribution, so you can see at a glance whether it's in the cluster or at the edge. The chart uses the full untrimmed price range, so outliers appear as short faint bars rather than being hidden. Condition matching - results are now filtered to match the condition of the item being viewed. If too few listings match, it falls back to all conditions and says so. Similarity filtering - results that share no meaningful keyword overlap with the search term are removed, catching cases where Vinted's search returns loosely related items.
