Overview
An implementation of Vim motions for Google Docs
Vim-For-Docs brings a large set of Vim motions and editing commands to Google Docs. Navigate, edit, select, search, and jump through your documents using familiar Vim keybinds. Vim-For-Docs includes basic movement, word and paragraph movement, visual modes, text objects, operator commands, repeatable edits, search, marks, saved positions, jump history, and other more advanced Vim-style features. Unlike simple shortcut extensions, Vim-For-Docs ports a much deeper Vim-like editing workflow into Google Docs. You can use motions like h, j, k, l, w, b, gg, G, {, }, f, t, and %, along with more complex features like marks, previous positions, last edit jumps, search navigation, visual selections, and operator + motion commands such as delete, change, yank, indent, and reformat. It also includes a built-in editor for customizing motions and commands, plus a clean mode overlay that shows your current Vim mode and pending command input. Vim-For-Docs is built for users who want Google Docs to feel faster, more keyboard-driven, and much closer to editing in Vim.
