Overview
Your own notes on whoever you're emailing or viewing on LinkedIn: how you know them, last conversation, what they're up to.
Villages shows you what you already know about a person, right where you are working. Open an email in Gmail, or a profile on LinkedIn, and anyone in your network gets a small badge next to their name. Click it and a panel opens with: - Your last conversation with them, as dated bullet points - What they're up to, newest first - How you know them, in your own words - Personal details you've chosen to keep (family, birthday, heritage, pets) - Who can get you to them, and how you've talked Tell Villages something about the person in the chat box ("Sam's moved to Northwind") and the profile updates. Every detail has a pencil to edit or remove it. Villages is private by design. Your notes come from the Villages app on your Mac, which gathers context from your own email, calendar, messages and calls. The extension only looks at the name and address of the person on screen, hashes the address in your browser, and asks your own Villages account whether you know them. It never pulls anything from the page into Villages, never stores the emails you read, and never shares your network with anyone. You need a Villages account (villages.work) and the Villages Mac app.
