Overview
Finds EVM and Solana contract addresses on any page and shows the token's price, liquidity and contract risk from CoinMarketCap.
View on CMC recognises cryptocurrency contract addresses on the pages you already read, and tells you what they are. When an address appears — in a social post, a forum thread, an article, or a block explorer — a small marker appears beside it. Hover it to see the token's name, price, liquidity, 24-hour volume and market cap, along with the contract risk checks and any buy or sell tax. One click opens the full token page. WHAT IT RECOGNISES - Contract addresses on EVM networks, and token mints on Solana - Shortened addresses, such as 0xc6e...7a7d54, expanded from the surrounding page - Tokens shown by name rather than by address, as block explorers often do Every address is checked against CoinMarketCap before anything is drawn, so the random identifiers that merely look like addresses are left alone. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY - Nothing is drawn where it would cover the page's own text - Text you are typing is never touched — form fields, comment boxes and editors are skipped - Switch it off for any site with Alt+Shift+C, or turn it off entirely in Settings - The CoinMarketCap site itself is never scanned PRIVACY The extension sends the addresses it finds away to be looked up, and that is all it sends. The pages you visit, their web addresses, their titles and their contents are never transmitted. There is no account, no sign-in, no tracking and no analytics of any kind. Your list of excluded sites stays on your device and is never synced. A contract address and a personal wallet address look the same, and cannot be told apart without asking — so if a wallet address is visible on a page, it may be looked up too. This is explained in full in the privacy policy. Privacy policy: https://pages.coinmarketcap.com/privacy-policy-extension/ PERMISSIONS, AND WHY - Read page text on any site — a contract address can appear anywhere, so the extension cannot know in advance which sites to watch. It reads text only, looking for two address patterns, and adds nothing to a page beyond its own small marker. - Network access limited to a single domain — the extension is not able to contact any other server. - Tabs — to know which site you are on, so it can show whether detection is switched on for it and let you exclude it.
