View Driving Directions is a lightweight Chrome extension that opens driving directions in Google Maps from the address bar. How it works: 1. Type view in the Chrome address bar and press Tab or Space to activate the extension. 2. Enter a phrase like: - get directions to paris - get driving directions to eiffel tower - directions to louvre museum - taj mahal 3. Press Enter to open driving directions in Google Maps in a new tab. What this extension does: - Opens driving directions in Google Maps - Supports simple directions phrases - Falls back to treating your text as the destination - Uses the official Google Maps directions URL format What this extension does not do: - It does not replace your default search engine - It does not change your new tab page - It does not read page content - It does not inject scripts into websites - It does not collect, store, or share your personal data Permissions: - omnibox: used only to enable the view keyword in the Chrome address bar Important: You must type the view keyword first in the address bar before entering your destination request.
