View as Markdown
Overview
Extract web page content and display it as Markdown in an in-page reader.
What does it do? This is a lightweight Chrome extension designed for a better reading experience. When you encounter a webpage with crowded layouts and distracting elements, simply click the extension icon. It automatically extracts the core article content of the current page, converts it into standard Markdown format, and presents a clean, aesthetic reading interface right in your current window. Why should you install it? Remove Distractions, Focus on Reading: Automatically strips away ads, sidebars, pop-ups, and irrelevant navigation, keeping only the text and images you actually want to see. Native Support for Code Formatting: Perfectly parses and renders code blocks, headings, and lists from the original webpage. Highly suitable for programmers and tech enthusiasts who frequently read tech blogs, official documentation, and development guides. Seamless Switching: The reading interface is an independent overlay (built with Shadow DOM to prevent CSS conflicts). Close it with one click when you're done reading to instantly return to the original webpage without disrupting your browsing state. Convenient Information Gathering: The well-formatted Markdown content is incredibly easy to reuse. You can easily copy and paste it into personal note-taking apps that support Markdown, like Notion or Obsidian, for archiving. Who is it for? Developers, researchers, students, and anyone who wants a pure, refreshing reading experience in their browser.
