Download m3u8 (HLS) and DASH (mpd) videos as one MP4 file, merged right in your browser. VidNab is a video downloader that needs no install: no companion app, no account, no ads. It also saves ordinary MP4 and WebM files from web pages. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a page and start playing the video. 2. Click the VidNab icon. Detected videos are listed with their size and duration. 3. Choose a quality and click Download — or click Audio to save just the sound. Subtitles can be saved as SRT. WHY VIDNAB • An m3u8 downloader that does the whole job: VidNab reads the HLS playlist, fetches every segment and joins them into one MP4 — no ffmpeg, no command line • Also a DASH (mpd) downloader, including WebM DASH and streams split into several periods • Nothing to install besides the extension — merging happens inside the browser • The result is a standard MP4 that plays everywhere and opens in video editors FEATURES • Pause and resume downloads; interrupted downloads continue where they stopped, even after restarting the browser • Subtitles from HLS / DASH streams and subtitle files on the page, saved as SRT (ASS kept as is) • Inserted segments that don't match the main video (usually ads) are skipped • Large videos are written to disk as they download, so long videos don't run out of memory • Choose the quality when a stream offers several; the estimated file size is shown for each • Separate audio and video tracks are merged into one file automatically • AES-128 encrypted HLS (standard, non-DRM) is supported • Audio-only download (.m4a) • Fast parallel downloads with automatic retry, with speed and time remaining shown • Works on sites that check the Referer of video requests • Light and dark mode; English and Chinese interface FAQ How do I download an m3u8 video? Play the video, click the VidNab icon and press Download. You get a single MP4 file instead of a playlist and hundreds of .ts pieces. The list is empty — why? Most sites only load the stream once the video starts playing. Press play, then open VidNab again. PRIVACY VidNab collects no data at all. Nothing is uploaded and there is no analytics or tracking. Detected videos are kept only for the current browser session; unfinished downloads are kept on your device so they can be resumed.
