VideoPaste
Overview
Sends a Reddit or X video URL you choose to the local VideoPaste helper so it can download and copy the video.
VideoPaste adds a compact, draggable V button to supported public video posts on Reddit and X/Twitter. Click it to download the selected video through the locally installed VideoPaste companion app and place the resulting MP4 on your macOS clipboard, ready to paste into compatible apps. VideoPaste works locally with no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud storage, or project-operated servers. It locally identifies supported video players and sends the selected post or media URL to the companion app only after you click the button. Requires macOS 13 or later, the separately installed VideoPaste companion app, and yt-dlp for X/Twitter and ordinary Reddit post links. VideoPaste supports public posts only. It does not use browser cookies, access private or login-restricted content, or bypass paywalls, DRM, or other access controls. Download only media you own or are authorized to download.
