TIKTOK AND DOUYIN Turn short-form videos into useful takeaways before they disappear from your feed. Capture a frame, select an area, record a short segment, or use audio transcription to preserve the important part. OTHER VIDEO WEBSITES Click the extension icon to connect the current page with temporary activeTab access. VideoNote Pro can use the page title, visible page capture and tab audio without requesting permanent access to every website. Exact playback timestamps and direct video-frame capture depend on the website's player and iframe restrictions. AI-ASSISTED NOTES Use one-time AI for the current segment or Continuous AI for longer viewing sessions. VideoNote Pro can work from available subtitles, short audio transcription, note context and captured images to produce structured Markdown notes. When a process genuinely benefits from a visual explanation, AI can also generate Mermaid diagrams. You choose the provider and use your own API key. OBSIDIAN-FIRST OUTPUT Choose your Obsidian Vault or another local folder, then save notes and media directly into it. Use Obsidian Markdown embeds or standard Markdown, choose separate note and attachment folders, and select a practical attachment naming rule. Recent notes keep their date and source platform so they are easy to reopen. Audio transcription supports Qwen and Gemini. AI features are optional and require the user's own provider credentials. LOCAL-FIRST PRIVACY No VideoNote Pro account is required. Settings, API keys and unfinished note sessions stay in the browser profile. Notes, screenshots and recordings are written only to the folder selected by the user. When an AI feature is invoked, only the content needed for that request is sent over HTTPS to the provider selected by the user. VideoNote Pro has no advertising, analytics or developer-operated content server and does not sell user data. Protected, DRM-controlled or cross-origin players may limit direct frame capture, recording or timestamp access. In those cases, the extension uses the capabilities the browser safely exposes for the current page.
