Overview

fit the video to the viewport

This extension transforms a focused video into the forefront of the viewport, without distracting elements. Currently in the alpha stage, but usable. The main feature: fit ('G')/fill ('H')/stretch('S') the main video (tested on YouTube, will test and confirm on videos on other domains) to fit the current viewport (browser window). This is designed to work with my other extension called "Viewport" to convert a normal browser window to a "popup" window. (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/viewport-alpha/lpddmphgnecpakhlnaibncaphflhchpo?authuser=1&hl=en) Some videos on YouTube are flipped ('X' to flip horizontally, 'Y' to flip vertically) or stretched ('S') the video to the current viewport's height and width. Users would then correct stretched videos with the viewport's height and width manually. This extension is based on some codes adapted from ("https://github.com/igrigorik/videospeed").
