Video Speed Wheel
Overview
Change video playback speed with your mouse wheel. Works on Google Drive lectures. 0.1x-16x, pitch preserved. No downloads, no DRM.
Change video playback speed by simply scrolling your mouse wheel over the video. No need to open the player's speed menu. ■ Features - Hover over the upper part of a video and scroll (up = faster, down = slower) - Fine-grained control from 0.1x to 16x in 0.1 steps - Pitch is preserved, so voices don't sound high-pitched when speeding up - A clear on-video speed indicator (can be set to stay visible) - The bottom quarter is excluded so it never fights with the seek bar ■ Works with Google Drive lecture videos On Google Drive previews, the player lives inside a nested frame that is covered by a transparent overlay, which is why many speed extensions silently fail there. This extension bridges the wheel input across frames, so it works on on-demand lectures and reference videos shared through Drive. ■ What it does not do This extension only changes playback speed. It provides no video download feature and does not circumvent DRM in any way. ■ Privacy No browsing history, page content, or personal data is ever collected, and the extension makes no network requests. It stores exactly one setting: whether to keep the speed indicator visible.
