How It Works 1. Install the extension and pin it to your browser toolbar. 2. Open a website with an HTML5 video player. 3. Click the extension icon to access speed controls. 4. Select a preset speed or enter a custom value. 5. Your selected playback preference can be saved locally. 3. Custom Playback Control Choose the playback speed that fits your viewing needs. Examples: - Slow down videos to review important information. - Increase speed for tutorials, lectures, podcasts, and other content. - Use precise speed values instead of limited default player options. 4. Website Speed Memory The extension can remember playback preferences for supported websites. Saved speed settings can be applied again when you revisit websites without manually adjusting the speed each time. 5. Compatibility Video Speed Controller works with standard HTML5 video players on many modern websites. Some websites using custom video players or DRM-protected playback systems may have limited compatibility. 6. Privacy Video Speed Controller is designed to keep your settings stored locally. The extension: - Does not require an account or sign-up. - Does not collect personal information. - Does not collect browsing history. - Does not use analytics tracking. - Does not display advertisements. - Does not send data to external servers. All settings, including saved playback preferences, are stored locally on your device using Chrome local storage. Your saved preferences remain on your browser and are not shared with external services. 7. Permissions The extension only requests permissions required to detect and adjust video playback. You can remove the extension anytime from your browser extensions settings. Removing the extension also removes locally stored extension data. 8. Getting Started Install Video Speed Controller, open a supported video website, and use the extension controls to adjust playback speed according to your preferences.
