Extension using default values on File URLs

When I use this extension to play any local video file, pressing shortcuts for "Increasing/Decreasing the Speed" or "Advance/Rewind the Video" would use the default values of 0.2 and 10 seconds , even if I have set them to some other value else. This works fine on online videos but for local videos it seems to break. Have tried this on both Windows and Macbook but the issue persists in both cases [using chrome on both].

IT'S NOT WORKING ON A SPECIFIC SITE

Hi, when I try to use it on Guitar Mastery Method, it doesn't work, it doesn't give the option to speed up or slow down. If I hover over it and click, it will stop whatever lesson I'm watching. Any suggestions?
