Video Screenshot lets you capture the exact current frame of any HTML5 video with a single click. When you open the extension popup, you’ll see a “Capture Screenshot” button. If a video is visible on the page, clicking this button grabs the current frame, converts it to a PNG image, and instantly downloads it. The screenshot always matches the displayed video frame precisely. The extension captures the real video pixels using a canvas, ensuring a clean, high-quality PNG without browser controls or UI elements. Video Screenshot is simple, fast, and lightweight. It uses only the minimal “activeTab” permission and performs all processing locally on your device. No floating icons, no overlays, no intrusive UI—just clean screenshots from videos whenever you need them.
