Video Rotator for YouTube

Overview
Adds buttons to the YouTube player to rotate sideways videos 90° at a time, and to reset them.
Watching a YouTube video that was filmed or uploaded sideways? Video Rotator for YouTube adds two small buttons to the YouTube player so you can turn the video upright in one click, no neck-tilting required. HOW IT WORKS • Click the rotate button in the player bar to turn the video 90° clockwise. Click again for 180° and 270°. • Click the undo button to return to normal. • Or use the keyboard: R rotates, Shift+R resets. BUILT TO FIT PROPERLY • Rotated videos are automatically resized to fit the player, so nothing gets cut off. • Works in normal view, theater mode, and fullscreen, and refits itself when you switch between them. • Only the picture rotates. Captions, the progress bar, and YouTube's controls stay upright and usable. • Each new video starts upright, so you never land on a rotated video by surprise. • Shortcuts are ignored while you're typing in search, comments, or chat. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Collects no data of any kind. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics. • Makes no network requests. Everything happens inside your browser. • Requests no special permissions and runs only on youtube.com. GOOD TO KNOW • Works on regular YouTube watch pages. The miniplayer, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube videos embedded on other websites aren't supported. Video Rotator for YouTube is an independent extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
