Video PiP Shortcut — v1.12 Pop HTML5 videos into Picture-in-Picture with one click or a configurable keyboard shortcut. It works across Chrome, Brave, Edge, Firefox 153+, and other compatible desktop browsers. WHAT'S NEW IN v1.12 • Added support for Firefox and Firefox-based desktop browsers using Gecko 153 or newer. • One shared release package now works across Chromium and supported Firefox-based browsers. • Added correctly sized 16, 32, and 48 pixel browser icons. • Added Firefox-engine test coverage and Mozilla add-on validation alongside the Chromium and live YouTube suites. • Declares no data collection and is now licensed under the MIT License. RELIABILITY IMPROVEMENTS • The overlay is isolated from website styles, so sites cannot accidentally hide or distort it. • The button stays correctly centred while the page scrolls. • Reliable support for videos that appear, move, or disappear on dynamic single-page sites. • Automatic cleanup and recovery when sites rebuild their video players. • Support for matching embedded video frames. • Improved hover behaviour, focus handling, accessibility labels, and click safety. • Settings are validated and applied live across open tabs. FEATURES • Overlay PiP button on HTML5 videos • One-click Picture-in-Picture enter and exit • Custom keyboard shortcut — Alt+P by default • Nine button positions: centre plus eight compass points • Adjustable edge margin • Small, medium, and large icon sizes • Hover-only, fade, or always-visible display modes • Optional click animation • Enable or disable the overlay at any time • Preferences sync through the browser's storage sync service HOW TO USE Hover over a video and click the overlay button, or press Alt+P. Open the extension's toolbar popup to change the shortcut, position, size, margin, and display behaviour. Changes apply immediately. The extension does not collect or sell personal data. It stores only your extension preferences using the browser's storage sync service. Icon credit: Playback / PiP icon by Uniconlabs — Flaticon, licensed for free use with attribution.
