Video Hunter finds the video playing on the page you're on and saves it to your computer as a single MP4 file. WHAT IT HANDLES • Direct MP4 / WebM links — handed straight to your browser's downloader • HLS (m3u8) — downloads every segment, decrypts AES-128 automatically, merges into one file • DASH (mpd) — SegmentTemplate, SegmentTimeline and SegmentList all supported • Legacy MPEG-TS streams — converted to MP4 automatically (container swap only, no re-encoding, so quality is untouched and it takes seconds) • Multiple qualities — one click grabs the highest, or pick manually • Separate audio/video tracks — detected and downloaded as two files with the exact ffmpeg command to merge them HOW TO USE 1. Open a page with a video and let it play for a few seconds 2. Click the Video Hunter icon — the badge number is how many streams were found 3. Hit Download for the best quality, or expand to choose Downloads can be paused, resumed and cancelled. Already-downloaded segments survive a pause, so resuming doesn't start over. WHAT IT WILL NOT DO • YouTube is not supported. Its media travels over a proprietary protocol with per-track signing; working around that is outside this tool's scope and against both store policy and YouTube's terms. • DRM-protected content (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, etc.) cannot be downloaded. Video Hunter detects Widevine / PlayReady / FairPlay and tells you plainly instead of producing a broken file. It makes no attempt to break DRM. • No data leaves your machine. No analytics, no account, no telemetry, nothing reported to any server. Video is fetched from the original site straight to your computer. PLEASE USE IT RESPONSIBLY Only download what you have the right to keep — your own material, content explicitly cleared for download, or video you're licensed to save. Many sites' terms of service forbid downloading their video; whether to comply is your call, and so is the responsibility. Interface available in English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語 and 한국어.
