This is a common issue with outdated laptop or desktop hardware, especially since mainstream streaming services now use AV1 decoding by default, leaving older devices struggling to keep up. This extension attempts to involve the GPU in the decoding process by disabling the hardware decoding formats you specify, and allows you to customize which websites to disable decoding for. ※Note※ Upon first activation, you may need to manually select “Save and Re-register” from the menu.
