Video Downloader & Stream Saver helps you save compatible video and audio discovered on the page you are viewing. Start playback, open the extension, choose the result and quality you need, then save it through Chrome Downloads. Everything is designed around one purpose: making supported web content easier to identify and keep. HOW IT WORKS • Scans the current tab for direct files and supported streaming playlists. • Groups related quality options into one clear result instead of filling the popup with duplicate fragments. • Lets you preview supported content, rename the file and return to the source tab. • Use the Popup for quick actions or the Side Panel for longer transfers. TRANSFER CONTROLS • Choose an available quality when the source provides options. • Save compatible video, create an audio-only copy or copy the source address. • Monitor progress and speed; an active task cannot be added twice. • Stop supported live recordings and keep the portion captured so far. ORGANIZATION • Set a Chrome subfolder and filename template. • Add site-specific folder, naming and default-action rules. • Search local history, retry failed tasks, open saved files and export a history backup. • Choose appearance, preview behavior, sorting, notifications and context-menu actions. PRIVACY AND LIMITS Processing runs locally in the browser. Media content, cookies, private request headers and history are not uploaded to our servers. No account is required in the current version. Protected content and sources that do not provide a compatible stream are not supported. YouTube saving is disabled for Chrome Web Store compliance.
