Video Channel Blocker

Hide videos, Shorts and comments from channels you never want to see, and stop their playback.

Some channels you simply never want to see again. This extension makes them go away: their videos vanish from the home feed, from search results, from the sidebar, from playlists, and their comments disappear from every video. If you land on one of their videos anyway — a link from a friend, a bookmark, a search result, playlist autoplay — playback stops and the page is covered. That includes Shorts and players embedded on other websites, which most blockers miss. BLOCKING A CHANNEL • Right-click a channel name anywhere on YouTube • Right-click anywhere on a video or channel page • Or use the toolbar popup, which blocks the channel of the current tab RULES • @handle, or a channel URL • UC... channel id — the one identifier a channel cannot change • Exact display name • /regex/ against the name or handle, so one rule covers a broadcaster that runs half a dozen channels • Title keywords, plain text or /regex/, for hiding videos by title regardless of who published them PRIVACY No accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no ads, no server. Your lists stay in local browser storage on this machine. The only request the extension makes is to YouTube's public oEmbed endpoint, to ask which channel a video belongs to.
