Video Ambient Light for YouTube™

Ambient light for YouTube, Shorts, TikTok and Reels. Immersive video colors, displayed locally.

Video Ambient Light for YouTube™ extends the colors of your playing video into a soft, moving background across the page. Keep the original video clear while enjoying a more immersive atmosphere. Watch with ambient light for YouTube on standard watch pages and livestreams, or add a full-page background to YouTube Shorts. The same extension supports TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook Reels, following the visible video as you scroll. Make the light yours: - Adjust glow intensity, page ambience, softness, spread and color saturation. - Change interface transparency while keeping the main video clear. - Set motion smoothing and frame rate to suit your device. - Enable or disable the effect separately for each supported platform. - Stop drawing in background tabs and restore the page when the effect is disabled. Your video frames stay on your device. The extension displays them locally and saves preferences in local browser storage. No extension account, recording, advertising, tracking or video uploads. All extension code and interface resources are included in the package. Free to use, with 24 interface languages. Some websites require their own login. Protected videos, native video fullscreen and separate picture-in-picture windows may not display the effect, and compatibility can vary as video sites change their player layouts. This is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook. Try it on a supported video page, refresh the tab after installation, then open the extension popup to adjust your light.
