Many indigenous communities ceremonies are interpreted through song and dance. These movements and songs often honor our natural world and the delicate balance needed to maintain it. The light in this image represents that movement to the rhythm of sound. Michael Namingha is a visual artist and photographer. He is a descendant of the Hopi (Arizona) and Tewa (New Mexico) tribes and currently resides in Santa Fe, NM.
