Veto is a spending advisor that interrogates a purchase before you make it. Open a product page on a supported store, click "Ask Veto before buying", and Veto opens a side panel with the product already filled in. Check the details, then run a Gauntlet: a short conversation where Veto challenges the purchase (what problem it solves, what you already own, what it really costs) and ends with a Verdict. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a product you are considering. 2. Invoke Veto. Nothing is sent anywhere until you do. 3. Review the product details Veto read from the page and correct anything it got wrong. 4. Answer the Gauntlet questions. 5. Get a Verdict: approved, denied, deferred, conditional, or an alternative worth buying instead. SUPPORTED STORES Veto works on major online retailers, department stores, electronics shops, and popular e-commerce platforms. Additional stores and custom merchant domains can be granted one origin at a time directly in the side panel and revoked whenever you like. ONE ACCOUNT ACROSS DEVICES Your Veto account is shared with the iOS and web apps, so a purchase you interrogate in the browser shows up everywhere, and Veto Pro unlocks on every surface at once. PRIVACY Veto only reads the product page you invoke it on. It does not read your carts, checkout pages, payment details, passwords, or browsing history, and it does not save the rest of the page. Product details reach the Veto backend only after you choose to begin a Gauntlet. Veto shows no ads and does not sell your data.
