Vesper Inspect is a lightweight accessibility inspection tool for web developers, designers, and content teams. Enable it on any page and hover over elements to instantly surface their accessibility attributes in a clean overlay - no DevTools required. WHAT IT SHOWS ARIA label, role, and computed accessible name (resolved from aria-labelledby, text content, alt text, and title - in priority order) Alt text on images, with clear error/warning/pass status Explicit and implicit ARIA roles Title attribute Tab order and keyboard reachability - including ancestor context (e.g. an image inside a link) Font information for text elements (size, weight, family, and large-text classification) Image file size (reads from browser performance timeline, no extra network requests) Phone number links (tel:) without descriptive labels - flagged so screen reader users can distinguish multiple numbers Email links (mailto:) without descriptive labels - same reason STATUS AT A GLANCE The tooltip header changes color based on what it finds: π’ Green - element looks clean π‘ Amber - potential issue worth reviewing π΄ Red - confirmed accessibility problem TOOLTIP MODES Mouse mode - tooltip follows your cursor as you hover Tab mode - tooltip stays fixed top-right and updates as you tab through the page Developed by Steven Trotter.
