Verum
Overview
Browse websites and data stored on Ethereum, verified by Helios light client
Verum is an open-source browser extension for viewing and publishing content (dapps, websites, or data) on the Ethereum blockchain. Verum cryptographically verifies the content against the chain. A traditional website is served by a company's servers, and the user has to trust that what the server sends is genuine. Verum fetches the content, verifies it against Ethereum using the Helios light client, and renders it locally in the browser. Verum can also be combined with a local Ethereum node, beyond verification this gives the user guaranteed availability of the content. What Verum does • Opens w3:// URLs and displays the websites and files stored on Ethereum • Verifies content against the blockchain with a built-in light client • Renders every page in an isolated sandbox • Lets interactive web3 sites connect to your existing browser wallet • Lets you publish your own content to Ethereum • Works across Ethereum mainnet and supported Ethereum test networks Private and non-custodial Verum is not a wallet and never holds funds, private keys, or accounts. Cryptographic verification runs locally in the browser. Open source Verum is fully open source and provided under its published license. Anyone can review the code and build it themselves. Verum is a viewer and verification tool for content stored on Ethereum. Its single purpose is to fetch, cryptographically verify, display, and deploy that content.
