Vertical Tabs gives you a cleaner way to manage open Chrome tabs from the browser side panel. Instead of scanning a crowded horizontal tab bar, open the side panel to view your tabs in a vertical list. Search tabs, switch between them, close tabs, organize tab groups, drag tabs to reorder them, and use quick actions like duplicate, pin, mute, reload, and move to a new window. Vertical Tabs is built for users who keep many tabs open and want faster tab navigation without changing website content. Install Vertical Tabs. 2. Click the extension icon in the Chrome toolbar. 3. The Vertical Tabs side panel will open. 4. Use the search box to find tabs quickly. 5. Click a tab to switch to it. 6. Drag tabs to reorder them. 7. Right-click a tab for actions like reload, duplicate, pin, mute, close, or move to a new window. 8. Click or right-click a tab group badge to manage group actions. 9. Use the menu to enable compact view, close duplicates, sort tabs, or mute/unmute all tabs. Tab Group Controls: Vertical Tabs supports Chrome tab groups. You can collapse groups, create new tabs inside a group, change group color, ungroup tabs, close a group, or move a group to a new window. Privacy Friendly: Vertical Tabs runs locally in your browser. Based on the current extension files, it does not collect personal information, does not read webpage content, does not inject scripts into websites, does not track browsing activity, and does not send data to an external server. The extension only uses Chrome tab information such as tab title, URL, favicon, active state, pinned state, muted state, and group information to display and manage tabs in the side panel.
