1. What the extension does Review your manuscripts directly from Gmail with Veritus Deep Manuscript Review. Veritus for Gmail lets researchers start a Deep Manuscript Review directly from a manuscript received as a Gmail attachment. Instead of downloading the manuscript, opening another application, uploading the file again, and starting a review manually, the extension connects the selected Gmail attachment to your Veritus account and starts the review from your browser. 2. How it works with Gmail When you open an email containing a supported attachment: 1. Veritus detects the PDF/DOC/DOCX attachment. 2. Select Review with Veritus. 3. The Veritus Chrome side panel opens with the selected manuscript. 4. Select Start Deep Review. 5. Veritus securely retrieves the selected attachment and runs the review. 6. You can follow the review status from the extension. 7. When the review is complete, open the full report in Veritus. The extension only initiates a review after you explicitly select a manuscript and choose to start Deep Review. 3. Who it's for Veritus is built for researchers working on manuscripts, from draft to submission. 4.What Deep Manuscript Review does Veritus Deep Manuscript Review critically evaluates premise, scope, claims, and assumptions. Identifies gaps requiring stronger scientific support for high-impact journal submissions. 5. Authentication requirements A Veritus account is required to use the extension. When first using the Gmail integration, you will be asked to: 1. Sign in to Veritus. 2. Connect your Google account. 3. Grant the Gmail permission required to retrieve a manuscript attachment that you explicitly choose to review. Your Gmail authorization is separate from your Veritus account authentication. 5. Gmail permission explanation Veritus requests read-only Gmail access so it can identify and retrieve the specific email attachment selected by you for Deep Manuscript Review.
