Veritas helps you examine financial claims in a web page or selected passage. Open its side panel when you want an audit. It identifies material claims, researches supporting and skeptical evidence, and links to retrieved sources so you can check the original material yourself. Create a free Veritas account with email and password to use up to 10 audit requests per calendar month. Your monthly allowance appears on the account page. The allowance resets at 00:00 UTC on the first of each month. A request may use one allowance even if an external provider fails after the request begins. The full report includes a claim-to-source evidence map, four separate reviewer perspectives, missing context to check, persuasion signals, and locally saved audit history. Veritas marks claims unverified when direct evidence is missing. Creator reputation and prediction accuracy remain unavailable until there is independently verified history. Veritas does not analyze pages in the background. On first use, it asks for consent before reading or sending page content. When you analyze, the selected or readable page text and URL go to the Veritas service and OpenAI. Up to 30 reports are stored in Chrome's local extension storage and can be cleared from a full report. YouTube analysis uses only a visible transcript or description.
