Overview

Turn on a Verified check from Google Calendar and see each candidate's results as a badge next to their name in Google Meet.

Verified helps an interviewer see who is on the other side of a Google Meet call. Before the call, each invited guest runs a short check in the Verified desktop app for Mac or Windows, in front of their own camera. During the call, Verified keeps checking that the guest's video comes from their own camera and that the face in the call matches the face their own camera sees. You see the results inside Google Meet. Verified gives you information. It does not make the decision for you. Verified is in a closed beta. You need an access code from the Verified team to set up checks. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the Verified icon in Chrome's toolbar and paste your access code once. 2. In Google Calendar, create an event with Google Meet and add your guests. A "Verify attendees" card appears under the notification settings, with a switch next to each guest. For a new Google Meet event it starts on. Turn it off for the event, or for any guest who does not need a check. 3. Save the event. Verified makes a personal check link for each guest who is switched on. The toolbar menu lists each guest, with Copy link for a link that was not emailed. 4. Before the call, each guest opens their link and runs the Verified app on their own computer. 5. In Google Meet, a badge next to each guest's name and a Verified button in Meet's bottom bar show the results. Click either one to open a panel with each check in plain words and how recently it was checked. WHAT YOU SEE - Green "Verified" when the checks before the call passed and the live camera and face checks are fine. - Grey "Checking" or "Can't confirm" when something could not be checked right now. "Can't confirm" is never an accusation. - Amber when a check finds something that needs a look, for example "Another app is using their camera" or "Faces don't match". A short notice also appears in Meet when it starts, even with the panel closed. - For an amber camera or face finding, the panel shows two small stills side by side, "Their camera" and "In the call", so you can compare. When a problem ends, its last pair stays in your panel under "Earlier in this call". Only you see them, and they are deleted when the call ends. - Hidden helper windows on the guest's screen, where the guest's computer supports that check. This check is advisory. It is tested on Windows. On a Mac the guest must allow Screen Recording; without it the result says "Can't confirm". - Each check shows its own line, and a check that is not available on that computer says so. - The toolbar menu lists your upcoming and past Verified calls and who has finished their check. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO - It does not record your call. Verified does not store video or audio from the call. - It does not decide for you. A result is information. - It does not check ID documents. - It does not read your email, your chat or other websites. It runs only on Google Calendar and Google Meet. YOUR DATA When you save a Google Meet event with Verify attendees on, the extension sends the event title and time, the Meet link, your name and email, your Google Workspace name when Calendar shows one, and the names and emails of the guests who are switched on to the Verified server. During a Verified call it sends frame-timing numbers and short samples of each invited guest's video tile to the Verified server for the face match. The samples are compared in memory and not stored. It also tells the server when a guest leaves or returns and when your call ends, so the checks stop. Short diagnostic lines with no names, codes or addresses also go to the server. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for ads. Read the privacy policy before you install: https://joinverified.pages.dev/privacy Questions or problems: https://joinverified.pages.dev/support
