Verified Badge for Facebook adds a cosmetic, verified-style badge next to your own name on facebook.com — on the home feed sidebar and on your profile header. ⚠️ IMPORTANT: The badge is purely visual and exists only inside YOUR browser. Your account is NOT verified, nobody else can see the badge, and it must not be used to impersonate verified accounts or mislead other people. This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. FEATURES • Badge next to your name in the home sidebar, in the profile header and on your own comments • Hovering the badge shows a verified-style tooltip, and the "About this profile" dialog of your own profile gets a matching section — all simulated locally, only in your browser • Detects your own name automatically — no configuration needed • Toolbar icon turns blue when the badge is active on the current tab and grey otherwise • Settings page from the toolbar icon, applied instantly to open tabs: – Turn the badge on or off – Show it only on your own profile (default) or on every profile – Enable it on the home page, profile pages, comments, or any combination – Turn the tooltip and dialog section on or off – Badge sizes and re-check interval – Debug logging for troubleshooting • URL list: www.facebook.com and web.facebook.com are built in; add other facebook.com URLs with * wildcards and choose a mode (Automatic, Profile, Home, Off). A "Test a URL" tool shows what will happen. • English and Vietnamese built in; import any other language from a JSON file • Light and dark mode PRIVACY • Only one permission: "storage", to remember your settings • Runs only on facebook.com • No data collection, no tracking, no analytics, no network requests, no remote code • Your name is read from the open page only to place the badge.
