Velvet Scroll is an EPUB and ebook reader that turns your books into a smooth, steady scroll, so you can read without turning pages. Press play, rest your eyes on the reading guide, and let the next line come to you. READ YOUR WAY • Auto-scrolling measured in lines per minute, so the pace stays the same at any text size • Two scroll styles: Cinema, a smooth, continuous glide; or Page sweep, where the page stays still and the next page is revealed line by line beneath a slim accent marker, with the text set on an even book-style grid • Smooth, sub-pixel motion matched to your screen's refresh rate • A reading guide across the page: band, underline or spotlight, at the height and position you like. It follows your accent colour, or pick your own • Text size, line spacing, line length and four reading typefaces, each with − and + buttons for fine adjustment • Paper, Sepia, Green, Grey, Night and Midnight page colours, or your own, plus a brightness dimmer • A magnifier (circle or rectangle), a hand tool to drag the page, full-screen mode and keyboard shortcuts READ ALOUD • Reads from the line on the reading guide, highlighting each word and keeping it in view • Skip back or forward a paragraph with the ⏮ ⏭ buttons or arrow keys, tap any sentence to read from there, or choose a chapter from Contents • Uses your device's voices, with the best-sounding ones listed first • Optional natural voices (Piper, public-domain voices): download a voice once and it runs entirely on your device, with no text sent anywhere YOUR LIBRARY • Opens the DRM-free ebooks, PDFs and comics you already have, including Kindle-style files and zipped books • Comics and webtoons scroll page by page, at your chosen width • PDFs as reflowed text that follows your settings, or as the original pages • Remembers your place in every book • Separate tabs for books and saved articles, and tick boxes to show only certain formats • Shelves, search by title, author or ISBN, and Reading / Unread / Finished filters • Reads each book's ISBN from the file or its copyright page, and uses it to match the exact edition • Add your own cover from a photo, a saved image or a web address, shaped to fit automatically • Looks up titles, authors, publication dates and openly licensed covers from Open Library, Wikidata and Project Gutenberg • Books without a cover get a classic gold-tooled leather binding • Light and dark themes with your choice of accent (Bottle green, Teal, Navy, Plum, Oxblood, Ochre, Slate or your own) and background SAVE ARTICLES FOR LATER • Save any web article with the toolbar button or by right-clicking the page, or paste a link • Velvet Scroll keeps a clean, readable copy (no menus or adverts), with its pictures, in your library • Read saved articles with the same scrolling, read-aloud and display settings as your books ACCESSIBILITY • High contrast: black on white or white on black, or follow your device's setting • Colour-vision settings for red–green and blue–yellow colour blindness, or no colour.
