Vellum exports a ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini conversation to PDF, Markdown, or Word without uploading it. Folders, search, and a prompt library stay in the browser too. It is built for the threads other exporters drop. Long chats are scrolled and collected, including messages that virtualized pages unmount. Code blocks keep their language and indentation. Tables stay tables. Lists, links, emphasis, and quotes stay structured instead of turning into a flat screenshot with broken layout. Privacy is the product. There is no Vellum account and no Vellum server. The file is created on your device and downloaded to your computer. Folders, saved prompts, and the search index live in Chrome’s local storage. Vellum does not include analytics. What you can do - Export the open chat to PDF, Markdown (.md), or Word (.docx). - Keep code fences, tables, lists, links, and emphasis. - File chats into folders and search the on-device index. - Save prompts with tags and insert one into the composer in a click. - Use it on chatgpt.com, claude.ai, and gemini.google.com. A small adapter per site is what gets updated when a layout changes. Free and Pro Free includes 3 exports per day, 3 folders, and 10 saved prompts. The license check does not include your chats, prompts, or files. Card numbers never touch Vellum. Cancel from the extension options: one screen, then ExtensionPay. Permissions Vellum asks to read the three chat sites so it can show its panel, read the conversation you already have open, and insert a prompt. It also talks to extensionpay.com if you turn on Pro. Storage is only for the library on your device. Vellum is not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google. ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are named so you can tell where the extension runs.
